Actually, it doesn't look too bad. I've seen worse. Beautiful composition and perspective!

Hi Carloyn! Thanks!!! Bodie's literature refers to the State Park as being preserved in a state of "arrested decay" This is one of the few homes in Bodie that had a yard...and is now the current home of one of the Rangers who stays there 24/7...

Like the soft tones in this - very atmospheric, rather eerie.

Kind of sets the stage for a Western Horror type film, eh???

Wow, I could live there! I love that old fence.

Dot...Our California State Rangers live there 24/7!!! Somewhere around 20 or 30 during the summer and down to 3 during the winter...you can only get there by cross country skiing, snowmobile, snowshoe during the winter...But if you're an isolative person...this would be ideal!!!
