Very industrial And I noticed a train under the bridge.

Great capture Pat! Not sure I could live in this place.

Thanks Kaya!
The first time I went to Japan, I was in the military and only there for a short time. Back then, I would have agreed with you about living there.

Much to my surprise, I ended up marrying a Japanese lady. She was born here, but her mom wasn't and almost all of her family is still in Japan. Needless to say, I've been there several times on extended visits. Despite what you see in this photo (which is very common), it doesn't reflect how the country "feels." Despite how industrial and crowed it looks (and is), it is quiet. The people are quiet, the place is extremely clean. All of that craziness, runs like a Swiss watch. Just like in the U.S., there is plenty of open space and beautiful countryside in Japan. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I love it and could easily live there. My only problem is the weather. It is mega-humid during the hot season. Oh yeah, there also aren't any deserts for me to wander around in. Sorry about the long response...
