Thanks Pat! It was an interesting experience...Even though I would want to be associated with the North in this time period, I found it a little sad, these graves off in their own little graveyard. They fought for what they believed in, and believed that what they were fighting for was good...Hard to comprehend these days.
So true... Many years ago I worked in Washington D.C., and had tons of time for exploring. I went to many civil war battlegrounds, and graveyards. Although I love history and enjoyed seeing these old places, I always felt sad when I was in them. What's going on right now is a good indication (at least to me), that we haven't come as far as we think...
