Very nice! I've never taken a decent moon photo in my life.

Thanks Kathryn and Pat. Pat you should try some moon photos. The trick is manual exposure and manual focus. My settings usually at ISO 200, f11 or f13 and shoot at 1/400 or 1/800.
I’ve not done moon photos either but did do a workshop on night shooting...they’re recommended settings were quite different from yours...generally 20-30 second shutter speed. Interesting how different the approaches are!
