@ Jeanna - The Bagdad Cafe is just down the road about 60 miles. @ Jeanna - The motel no, the cafe and gas station yes! The cafe is more like a snack bar. The whole town was purchased by a few years back. He has some plans, but I can't see any way that the motel could ever make money.
Thanks Bill! I was very fortunate to be able to see a lot of Route 66 when I was young. Unfortunately, it didn't mean all that much to me back then. I love all that stuff now!

Seems like Roy's has been around forever.
Reminds me of a motel on 395 on the way to Mammoth, and the sign reminds me of a sign in Walker! Very vintage!
@ Bill - It's been around for a long time. Apparently, this place and others on route 66, were the inspiration for the Disney movie "Cars."
@ Kathy - The 395 is also an old highway, so you probably did.
Yes, love it! Am getting visions of The Bagdad Cafe.
Wait, are you saying that this motel and/or cafe are open for business?
Great captured

@ Rupam - Thanks!
What a flashback to an era. Those neon signs are a treasure and tell a lot about the US and travel back in the 50s and 60s. A fantastic image, Pat.

Quite a throwback to the past!
It sure is William. For me, that is the draw to Route 66. It's all a blast from the past.
